Liaison’s VAT Training for Government Departments

Liaison have been considered the experts in VAT services within the NHS for 30 years, delivering serious savings for trusts and health boards all over the UK. As a result, we decided that we should share our expertise within other areas of the public sector including Government Departments, through VAT training sessions.

These half day sessions have been designed to share our knowledge around contracted-out services and VAT recovery in Government Departments covering a refresher of the basic rules and going through what can and cannot be recovered under each of the main headings.  We educate workforces on reviewing the common errors made across the NHS as well as taking a look at how to check invoices and pick up on HMRC inspections.

The training is aimed at Finance staff and Accountants who are involved with VAT and Capital Planning, IT Managers, Procurement Specialists, and Project Managers, our CPD accredited training course provides a great opportunity to share ideas with like-minded individuals, receive expert advice and leave armed with the latest VAT knowledge. Our VAT clients receive free and unlimited places for their staff.

We have put together a roadshow of comprehensive training events ideal for someone new to Government Department VAT or requiring an up to date refresher.  The sessions review all the changes over the last 12 months including overseas transactions.  They are our most popular training event which have grown over time due to being run in an interactive and engaging manner.
