Bruce Thew, Chairman

Bruce has over 20 years’ experience building and managing outsourcing businesses internationally. Bruce began his career at PCL Plc where he spent 12 years and rose to the level of Group Managing Director. Between 1997 and 2005, Bruce held senior management roles at Ceridian Group. Bruce serves as Chairman of Active Non Executive Services, Chairman of Safeguard World International, Chairman of JustAccounts Ltd, Chairman of The Oxford Literary Festival and Chairman of Iconic Programmes Ltd. Bruce was a Non-Executive Director at Bridgepoint/NES group from 2005 to 2006.

Michael O’Higgins

Michael O’Higgins is Chairman of the Local Pensions Partnership and of Calculus VCT, as well as a non-executive director of Network Rail and of the pensions company Hedgehog.  He has recently been appointed Chair of the Channel Islands Competition and Regulatory Authorities (CICRA) in September 2016.  He was Chairman of The Pensions Regulator from 2011 to 2014, Chairman of the Audit Commission from 2006 until 2012 and chairman of the NHS Confederation from 2012 until 2015.  He was also a Non-Executive Director of HM Treasury and Chair of the Treasury Group Audit Committee from 2008 to 2014.  Michael was also the Chair of the youth homelessness charity Centrepoint from 2004 to 2011.  In his business career, Michael was a Managing Partner with PA Consulting, leading its Government and IT Consulting Groups, latterly as a Director on its International Board.   Prior to that he was a partner at Price Waterhouse, worked at the Organisation for Economic Co-Operation and Development in Paris and held academic posts at the University of Bath, the London School of Economics, Harvard University and the Australian National University.

Richard Greenhalgh

Senior Independent Non-Executive Director Rank Group. Richard worked for Unilever for over 30 years and was Deputy Director of Personnel for Unilever Plc before becoming Chairman of Unilever UK in 1998 until 2004. He is Chairman of The Council for Industry and Higher Education, CARE International UK, First Milk, and Chairman of the UK advisory board of a US listed outsourcing company, OPI. Richard is also Vice Chairman of the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority.

Sir Ian Magee

Sir Ian has held such distinguished public sector posts as Second Permanent Secretary and Chief Operating Officer for the Department of Constitutional Affairs, Head of Profession for Operational Delivery across the civil service, Chief Executive of the Court Service, Chief Executive of the Information Technology Services Agency, Director of the Benefits Agency, Acting Chief Executive of the Benefits Agency, and Private Secretary to the Minister for Social Security.

Patrick Kelly

Patrick was until recently on the international board of PA Consulting Group, a consulting and venturing company with operations in some 20 countries. Patrick was responsible for the IT consulting practices around the world. In his 20 years with PA he led consulting engagements with some of the world’s largest companies mainly in the telecoms and pharmaceuticals sectors. His projects ranged from managing large change programmes through to mergers and acquisitions. Prior to joining PA he managed software development teams for British Telecom. He has an MSc in Computing Science from Newcastle University and an MBA from Cranfield School of Management.

Jens Osmundsen

Jens Henrik Osmundsen is presently holding the position as Business Director for Hewlett Packard’s Enterprise Business in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). With more than 20 years of business experience internationally, Jens Henrik has held various positions with international companies in technical as well as sales & marketing roles. Prior to joining HP, Jens Henrik was General Manager of Indigo Europe. In addition, Jens Henrik is actively involved in various venture activities as well as property investments and has served on the boards of several international companies. Jens Henrik holds an MSc and Phd in Electronics & Physics from Technical University of Denmark and an MBA from Copenhagen Business School. Jens Henrik Osmundsen is based in Brussels, Belgium.

Jim Burns

A senior business executive with over forty years’ international experience gained in the retail, manufacturing and service sectors.  Born in Scotland, Jim studied Law and Economics at Glasgow University before becoming a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland. Jim has wide-ranging experience gained over a number of years of driving profitable growth into organisations both organically and by merger and acquisition. He has led mergers and acquisitions and strategic trade sales to and from both public and private companies in the UK and in countries as far afield as Switzerland and Mauritius. Married with two adult sons, Jim retired as president of Ceridian Canada Ltd after being instrumental in taking the Ceridian Group off the NYSE and into private hands returned to the UK in 2008 and now has several consultancy and non executive director roles with young fast growing companies.
