In progress: Liaison Amani Virtual Marathon 2017
The Liaison Amani Moshi to Singida Virtual Marathon will raise funds for Liaison Amani in 2017. We are inviting staff and clients to complete the equivalent of the 395km route from the Amani Children’s home in Moshi to the Liaison Amani Satellite Centre in Singida. A Virtual Marathon is a race that anyone, anywhere, can participate in. You can choose to cover the distance any way you want: running on a track, the road, on a treadmill, cycling or even walking. You can complete the whole distance all at once or break it up and finish in your own time. The Liaison Amani Moshi to Singida Virtual Marathon will run from January 2017 – December 2017 giving you 12 months to complete the distance. To take part simply register your marathon at Racery.com or contact us on email@example.com for more information. Alternatively, sit back, relax and click here to donate.
The AJ Bell London Triathlon 2017
Total raised – £3,698.00
After the huge success of 2016 in both participation numbers and total fundraising, Liaison took part in the event again. The London city event was an unforgettable experience, featuring a 750m swim in the River Thames, followed by a 20km cycle and a 5km run (or jog/walk!) to finish. Click here to read our blog post covering the event.
The AJ Bell London Triathlon 2016
Total Raised – £20,207.00
More than 20 Liaison staff, their friends, family and clients took part in the AJ Bell London Triathlon on 6 August this year. Our staff ran, swam and cycled to raise funds for the new children’s home in Singida. Cheered on by many of the Liaison staff, all our team managed to complete the event and we’re very proud of their efforts! To date, the event has raised more than £10,000 with sponsorship still coming in.
The Three Peaks Challenge 2015
Total Raised – £18,745.90
Around 30 Liaison staff, together with some friends and family, took on the Three Peaks Challenge. Our work with the NHS takes us across England, Scotland and Wales so it is only fitting that our challenge covered all three. The total raised was instrumental in providing Amani with the funds it needed to establish a second children’s home in Tanzania, located in Singida.
