Andrew Armitage, Managing Director
Andrew Armitage joined Liaison in 1994 as a VAT Advisor and became Managing Director in 2008. Andrew has been instrumental in expanding our services to include forensic cost reduction services in 2009 and STAFFflow in 2011. He continues to oversee product development for the NHS, currently focusing on the roll out of Liaison’s new TempRE service, supporting the NHS in better controlling and reducing their temporary staffing costs.
Andrew Holden, Group Healthcare Advisor
Andrew has over 30 years’ experience in NHS finance and worked in finance director roles at leading NHS trusts for the last ten years. Before joining Liaison, Andrew was director of finance and investment at Barts and The London NHS Trust. Prior to this role he was finance director at St Mary’s NHS Trust for just under six years. Andrew has been the chairman of the HFMA’s (Healthcare Financial Managers’ Association) London branch, which has 400 members, since 2008. Andrew is currently a non executive director at Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust.
Vanessa Forster, Commercial Director
Vanessa joined Liaison in 2011 and is responsible for the sales and account management teams. Prior to Liaison Vanessa worked in a number of sales and marketing roles in the recruitment and managed service sector with Randstad. Before which she had a wide range of financial and telecoms software sales and account management experience working with both private and public sector clients.
Judith Shaw, Workforce Operations Director
Judith joined Liaison in 2012 and is responsible for Liaison’s workforce solutions, looking after the support and client services team across the UK. With over 25 years’ experience of implementing HR and payroll solutions in both private and public sectors, her experience and knowledge of the industry is unparalleled.
Heidi Lopez, Service Strategy Director
Heidi joined Liaison in 2014 from Ceridian, where she spent 18 years in a range of strategic planning and senior business analyst roles. At Liaison, Heidi leads on identifying opportunities for new product development and on directing the growth of Liaison’s increasing NHS services portfolio. She also manages Liaison’s strategic planning activities across the business. She and her team were instrumental in the development of Liaison’s annual Taking the Temperature report into NHS agency staff spending, the results of which are regularly featured in the broadsheet and health sector press.
Alison Jones, Director of VAT & Financial Management
Alison Jones joined Liaison in January 1995 as a VAT Advisor and was promoted to Senior VAT Manager for the Midlands & South West Region, advising trusts on a wide variety of tax issues as well as carrying out compliance reviews and training courses. Alison is now responsible for managing our UK-wide team of VAT advisors and Forensic consultants. She has been responsible for the development and launch of new bundled service offerings which bring together the benefits of our VAT and Financial Management services such as REassure and CIP Slip.
Ian Child, Procurement & Performance Director
Ian joined Liaison in 2014. He has over 14 years’ experience in NHS finance, joining from Basildon and Thurrock University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust where he was Deputy Director of Finance, Financial Controller. His previous NHS finance roles also include three years at Southend University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. Ian has been an active member of the HFMA’s Foundation Trust Technical Issues Group and the Charitable Funds Special Interest Group and he sits on the Eastern Branch Management Committee.
Pam Simkiss, Financial Controller
Pam joined Liaison in 2011 in the role of Financial Controller and office manager of the Worcester site. She is a chartered accountant who has held senior finance positions within the healthcare and communications industries, including BMI and InterCall. Pam now oversees the financial operations of the entire Liaison Group.
Susie Holland FCIM, Marketing Director
Susie has over 15 years’ senior marketing management experience across a range of sectors including professional services, private healthcare and the NHS. After running her own marketing consultancy, Susie joined Liaison in 2011 to support the company’s growth plans. She is responsible for managing the marketing, communications and public relations activity across the Liaison group companies. Susie is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and a Chartered Marketer.
Matthew Lymbery, Chief Technology Officer
Matthew joined in October 2016 when Liaison acquired his company, Activ8 Intelligence. Whilst at Activ8, Matthew and his team developed the award-winning HR analytics software, Mission Control which set the standard of how HR professionals can make use of people-related data. He was a pioneer in using artificial intelligence and advanced metrics to help solve HR challenges. At Liaison, he heads up the technology team and is responsible for developing and maintaining all of the company’s products, data strategy and infrastructure. He continues to provide expertise to encourage innovation in both Liaison and Activ8 product sets.
